John, I am telling everyone I know about your site. It is
the best thing I've come across in years. It is even better
than Allen Carr's book. Without this site and your emails I
would have struggled much more than I did. It has been
challenging to change this pattern, yet I did it and now I
want to show other smokers it will work for them too. If
there is anything I can do to help here with emails or phone
calls please let me know. Thanks, Stacey Price

I just wanted to say thank you for your site. I have
tried to quit three times in the past and was unsuccessful.
This experience has been a great one. I'm rarely angry, don't
feel as anxious, and really believe that this time, I will be
successful. I really appreciate your website. As a therapist,
I can't believe I didn't look at it this way before! How

The website is absolutely awesome. Finally!!!
Someone who can tell me to do about the little monster in my
head. I've told people over and over "if I just could
shut off my head, I could quit smoking". No one ever had one
suggestion for me It took me hours to read through the web
site and when I started my hands kept clenching into fists. I
had to consciously make myself relax by the end of reading the
information on your website I was through smoking. I kept
looking at my ashtray and cigarettes and thinking "I need to
quit". I'd feel a twinge of panic so would go on reading and
look at them again. When I could look at them without feeling
the panic or anything at all I threw it all out. And I know
without any doubt in my mind that I'm finished thanks to
you. I did donate what I could. I'm on disability so can't
afford a lot. I got day one of the e-mails from you but
haven't gotten anything today from you. Thank
you, Ona Hardy

Hi, I wanted to take this time and thank
you, as I am now a non-smoker. It will be 4 weeks in a couple
of days. I followed your program to the T and it was really
rather simple. I have been smoking since I was 13 or 14, quit
long enough to have my kids and started up again. I am 57
years old, a two pack a day smoker and have finally taken the
chains off. Everything I did revolved around a cigarette. I
couldn't do anything unless I smoked. The only thing I really
feel is a little like a lost someone real dear to me. Like I
am grieving someone's death. That I am coping with really
quite well, but it's funny that I don't have a physical
craving for a smoke, just a lonely feeling and trying to cope
with the loss. Lol. I can't really explain it. But I wanted to
thank you very much. Linda

Hello
John,
My name is Mary Young I smoked for over 50 years
and have been smoke free for 1 year now.
I have
enrolled in your course for couple of reasons, first to
reinforce my quit, and second because I am a chat host for
COPD-International Quit Smoking Now chat, we meet each evening
for one hour to support and help those of us who are still
smoking and trying to quit.
The hosts are James-UK,
Jackie-NY and myself (Gal-TX) are covering your program in our
chats and encouraging our chatters to go to your web site
also.
We feel that your presentation is the best,
in fact this it the first site we have recommended to our
people. The positive way that you have presented the course is
such a great help.
So thank you so very much for all
your hard work and your effort to connect with
others.

John, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for
your advice and tips on your website. I had stopped smoking,
proir to finding your online workbook, but I was having a hard
time fighting the mental part of all of this. The physical
withdrawal symptoms ahve been NOTHING compared to the
emotions, the self-pity, etc. I found your website through
another site, and went straight to it. I read all of it,
taking in each thought and really feel it has helped me get
through these past few days. I now don't allow myself to react
to these silly cravings- they happen of course, but I make as
little to do about them as I can. I really do feel that if I
had not found your online workbook, I would have relapsed for
sure. Today has been so much easier than I thought it would- I
guess you are right when you say it FINALLY feels worth all
the effort.
Many thanks again John. KIMMY

Dear John,
Words of immense gratitude are
hardly sufficient to thank you for the impact your quit
smoking programme has had on me.
I was a ‘60 a day,
full tar’ smoker (perish the thought) having started the
unnecessary habit about 50 years ago. To quit seems an
impossible task but it is an honest reality, my friends are
all truly amazed by the transformation in me.
Your
programme is so powerful that, after 5 days since quitting, I
feel your e-mail support to be a little bit depressing with
the constant references to ‘withdrawal symptoms’. I do not
have any problems at all as I followed your programme to the

and I’ve finally done it. Nicotine free after twenty years. I
did a smoking cessation class and used the patches, which I
had done before. Your course just made it so much easier for
me. I’ve have been nicotine free for three day’s now and I
haven’t smoke a cigarette in 32 day’s. I work for the county
and have let the Doctor at the health department know about
your site. Thank you again.
Gratefully

6:44 PM Subject: Please change to day 3
Hi, I
clicked on the link to let you know that I relapsed and needed
the e-mails to start all over again. Only 1 new e-mail was
received and now I'm getting day 21. This is day 3 and if
possible I would appreciate it if this could be updated.
Having difficulty thinking and hope I'm making sense. But
counting on your e-mails. Want to share with you about your
book. I've told many people who are ready to quit to go to
your site and buy it. It has helped me so much!!! I've been a
smoker for 40 years and never thought that I could do it for 1
day. This is my 3rd attempt to quit and after reading your
book I really feel that I can do it!! Reason for the change in
date is that I was still reading the book and actively
smoking. You have helped me so much I am grateful. My doctor
is amazed that for 3 days I haven't smoked. Being disabled,
living in chronic pain, on a daily basis is very difficult. I
never thought I could stop smoking as I always looked at it as
my one and only friend/vise. Now I look at smoking in a whole
different way and much of that is due to the different concept
in your book. Once again, I am very grateful AND I will
spread the word about your book to everyone who is thinking or
attempting to quit. I promise and I have told many. Thanks
again, Barbara

I
want to thank the people @ quitsmokingonline for the book and
email support. I have been signed up on Quitnet and that is
where I heard of you folks. The book was a godsend for me and
really put me in the mindset for becoming a non-smoker. I
hesitate to say it has been easy...but I certainly can't say
it has been hard. Most of my family and friends don't
understand (or believe me) when I say I know I will never
smoke again...ever. I want you to know that I have recommended
your site to at least 50 people and received emails from
several thanking me. Again, thank you for the freedom you have
helped me obtain! I will remain vigilent, on-guard and most of
all a non-smoker!

March
Hi from Portugal
Just wanted to drop
you a line to let you know that I quit smoking on the 31st
March 2006 and today is 18 days! Thanks to your online
information and daily emails, I can honestly say that you and
your info has been the main reason I have managed to get to
this stage and going strong!!! Best 20.00 donation ever
spent!
What I wanted to ask you is regarding the
email you sent yesterday. How come we get "surprise attacks"
for no rhyme or reason??? I quit for nearly 3 years and even
after all that time, I got a major attack and started smoking
again. I think I was CONVINCED that I had beat the habit so I
let my guard down. I smoked for 2 years after that and on the
31st March decided to stop. I did your course 3 days after I
quit and it was like a walking stick....boy did I need it.
What chemical reaction is happening for the surprise attacks
to happen? Any info will be welcome because I don't want to
fall again.
Anyway so far so good and to try and
avoid gaining weight I have joined a gym where I go every
day!
Anyway thanks again! Ginevra De Rose

Hi John,
I just wanted to say thank
you! Your timing of sending emails that deal with urges is
perfect. Mine started this past Sunday for which I went to bed
for the entire day, however, when I read your email yesterday,
it mentioned the breathing. Sure enough, last night and this
morning coming to work, I did not but the deep breathing and
thank you...I made it to work and stopped at Starbucks rather
than the corner store. Thank you!

Hi John, I have quit smoking using a few
resources including John Ryans book, Quitnet.com, and of
course your book. I am now going through your 21 day email
support program and am getting many wonder insights. I
appreciate all the help everyone has given me and you are
absolutely right, it is not hard once you understand what
you're really up against. I only wish my dad could have had
this information before he died back in 1990 at 55 years of
age from lung cancer. He tried so hard to quit so many times,
he was a strong, christian man and I don't think I could see
how I could quit if he couldn't. It took a lot of convincing.
Well, thanks again, Anna

Thank you SO
much for your website. And so far, so good. No failures… no
“oooops”….. no slips this time.
Your Program really
helped a lot. However, I will remain diligent and focused….
and will remind myself whenever necessary that “there is no
such thing as one cigarette.” As a matter of fact, I have
those words printed and hanging up at my desk at work and at
home to constantly remind me.
I think I’m going to
beat the addiction this time. Finally. Thank you
again!!
